The power planner includes time-management principles to help BDJ Girls manage their life better, articles and affirmations to inspire them to live life to the fullest and of course, coupons to remind them of work-life balance.

  1. 2013 has taught me how to be a strong and independent woman. Being able to achieve my dreams but always keeping my feet planted on the ground. Loving more the people around you, the experiences you've encountered and also the pain and sacrifices you have to endure.letting go of the past.

  2. At first im hoping great for my year 2013.. im trying to insert the good karma in it but it turns out the way i dont like and learned lesson from it.
It teaches me to make myself free from heartred and selfishness. To make yourself happy and thankful with your friends, enemy even persons that ones touches your life. 2012 made me strong but 2013 made my self free, accept and be happy from the most painful thing i had felt. Before i called it Lesson learned. But now i must say thankful of what happened and what it leads me now. Cheers!

  3. I have learned a lot from this year actually. But, if I will consider one (or two) important thing/s it would be that you cannot really please everybody and there will always be someone out to get you even if you've only shown good things to him/her. Some people are not really worth trusting. However, you should not forego trusting people because if there is one bad apple, there's still a basket of good ones. I've learned to always stay on the positive side of life and to not care too much about other people's opinion especially if you know that you're not doing anything wrong or anything that harms other.

  4. The most important thing that 2013 taught me was to believe in God in all his plans and actions. We were praying hard to give us a baby this year and God answered our prayer. I'm currently 35 weeks pregnant and will give birth to a healthy baby girl on January 2014.

  5. We had our greatest challenge this year. My partner's mother got really sick and eventually died last January 30. Our life had been very difficult because of all the expenses and debts that we had to pay after his mother died. However, last April 2013, we got invited at Victory Fort to worship our God. The church really thought us how much God loves everyone. This year, i learned how to depend solely on God and be appreciative of all the blessings that i received from Him. Nothing is impossible to God. :)

  6. 2013 taught me that life depends on how you see things. Things happen based on how you react on it. Being optimistic, staying positive, and see things in a positive light makes a million memorable moments that could just be a normal moment for normal people. I learned that being different from the norm, to be original, to be free from judgement from people, to embrace failures and take it as an experience, to accept challenges that comes my way, this made my 2013 the best that it could be. I am excited for 2014 because I learned a lot, and for next year, I will be a Gold-maker, inspiring people to unleash their GOLD (potential) within!

  7. There were ups and downs for me this year. But one great lesson I learned is to appreciate the people around you. That might be just easy to say,but please do! Cherish the times you spend with your family.Show them that you care and that you are there for them. Hug them as much as you can and say i love you. Do not regeret anything that has happened to your life as this serve as life experiences.

  8. What 2013 really taught me is that knowing what you love, finding your passion, and making it your job is really important. I know, everyone knows that already, but I had a hard time understanding it. I always looked at "work" as something you do just for money. That you don't have to love it, as long as you get an income. I thought that as long as you had a high-paying job, you didn't have to love what you did. I love art: painting, drawing, sketching, etc. I never looked at it as a job because you didn't earn much from it. But then I realized, those who had less income, but loved their jobs were happier than those with high income, but hated their jobs. So now, as I look for a course to take for college, I hope I can really find my passion in life.

  9. The most important thing that 2013 taught me is I learn how to choose the right people that would stay close to my heart. It's not easy to trust anybody. Yes you feel comfortable with the bunch of cool kids but you need to take limits to not regret things that you will share to them. I can say I'm hanging out with a few people now but I know that they are real to me and I will cherish them forever :)

  10. 2013 has taught me the art of time management. I used to procrastinate in studying my lessons and always end up cramming for exams and other school paper works. Last semester, I made a time table so I can manage my time in reading/reviewing my subjects. Since then, I've noticed that my grades were improving and I even got the highest scores in my midterms/finals. Planning ahead of time really helped to do well in school and at the same time without depriving myself doing the things I love like reading blogs, watching movies/tv shows or browsing my social media networking and more "gala/lakwatsa" with friends :-) This year, I would like to have this planner as a gift for myself and be a witness on planning my goals and activities for 2014.

  11. What is the most important thing that 2013 taught you?

For me, Life is what YOU make it. Nothing is handed to you, you must work hard to get what you want, to get where you want. Life isn't meant to be easy, it is meant to be lived. We are to face challenges, we are to fail, we are to succeed, we are to love, to lose, to laugh, to cry. Challenges keep us alert and focused, failure shows us where we went wrong and to change our mind set and ways to succeed. Failure is a learning curve, you don't give up, you learn from mistakes. You need to have goals or you will have nothing to achieve. To be rich means you must work hard and be very committed. Money doesn't just fall in your lap. You don't become rich over night (unless you inherit the money) Have short term goals and long term goals. Wealthy would be a long term goal. Be respectful, be honest, accept everyone as they are, be polite, always help if you can, love completely not halfheartedly and enjoy every moment of life. There will be bad times, there will be good times but that is life and it makes us who we are. Live, explore, travel and try something new all the time. It's better to have tried and failed or not liked than to regret at a later time of never attempting it/going for it.

  15. I have learned that it's perfectly fine to open yourself up to more people because there's nothing like the comfort and the advice that you get from your loved ones. I used to be really scared to open up to others but the past year has seen me at my best and at my worst, which is why I realized that I needed friends to cheer me up and keep me going through the roller coaster ride that was 2013.

  16. This 2013, I've learned to appreciate and be contented of what I have. I've learned not to complain why I don't have what others have. God will really give everything you want if you truly deserve it, even if you don't ask for it :)

  17. As i wind down 2013 the best lesson I've learned is the important of the word "FAMILY",I am an OFW i been away from my family for 7 long years.this year lots of disaster happened like earthquake in Bohol and the most horrifying typhoon Yolanda lots of family suffered, some lost their properties and some lost their love ones.I realized that time is too short we never know what will happen next so this year 2013 taught me to give more time with my family spend quality time with them and make them feel loved & adored specially my parents.

  18. 2013 has alternately been the worst year and the best year. I’m beginning to think we can’t have one without the other. 2013 has certainly FORCED me to focus on what truly matters to me, what I can and cannot live without, and what brings me joy. For that I am grateful.

  19. 2013 Taught me no matter how good you treat people there will always be people that are going to take advantage of it. i learned that i have to decide who's worth the pain and who isn't. even the people you care about the most can walk out of life. Lastly 2013 taught me to be prepared for whatever life throws at you.

  20. 2013 taught me that despite all the devastations and calamties that happened in our country. I discovered within myself that i can contribute alot by reaching out to the victims of the typhoon, 2013 has taught me to be responsible and helpful without asking for anything in return. I value every people and i learned to give than to receive.

  23. I was in a very difficult situation before where i scarified my own worth as a person. I thought i will be forever stucked in a bad relationship before but now i conquered every fear by letting go of the people who criticized me and i make them an inspiration to strive harder in everything that i do. 2013 has taught me how to love and value myself as a person i depended my own happiness with the people who neglected me in the end instead dwelling on the past and hardships that i surpass, I focused my mind improving myself by getting a job and be better person everyday.

  24. 2013 had been hard for me. There was the debate in my head if I'm gonna follow what I want or follow what my loved ones want for me. It was hard, but I chose to follow myself. I have to face the consequences of my decision; to the point that I almost lost someone I love. This year had taught me that there and there will be consequences with the decisions you will make in life. What is important is that, you know that at the end of the day you are happy with your decision. And if not, it is never too late to go back to the ones you love and hope that they will accept you again. :)

As for me, I know now where my happiness is. The happiness that my loved ones give me can never equal anything. But I did not forget to love myself as well. :)

  25. The most important thing that 2013 has taught me is to go with the season. Most of the time I overthink about the future which makes me less productive and tired of the current situation. But 2013 taught me to focus and enjoy, not worry, and never oppose the season that God has placed me in for everything has its own time.

  27. 2013 taught me that I will not always get what I want because what I want during a specific time may not be the best for me at that time. Despite the disappointment of not getting what I want, I should still give chance to what is given to me because I may just be happy with it as it may be what I really need. Moving forward, I will always remember that in my climb up the corporate ladder, there will be times that the steps are steeper.

  28. The most important thing that 2013 taught me is that it's never too late to want to become a better person. No matter what mistakes you did, no matter how dark your past was, no matter how chaotic your current life situation is, as long as deep within your heart you long for change and you're willing to turn your life around and change for the better, nothing is impossible.

  29. 2013 taught me how be more patient. Even though I got disappointed very often, small and big things. It made me realize that things will come to you in the right time if you know how to wait. To trust Gods plan for you. If it is not now, then maybe later. But if not, then it must be not for you. God has better plans for you just wait.I would like to quote what Abraham Lincoln once said "All good things come to those who wait." :)

  30. 2013 taught me a lot of valuable things in life. Life is indeed to short that we want to grow up so fast and we dont realize the people that really matters to us the most. We take for them for granted knowing that they would always be there for us. We only realize their worth and importance when they are gone. Wishing that we could take back time and spend all our time with them making good and happy memories that would last forever. Value your family the most is what really taught me this year. Sorry to mom and dad for letting them down at times, I promise to be a better and loving son.

  31. 2013 has taught me how to be a strong support system not just for others but also for myself. When all else fails, every one should have their own support system to lean on. The one who will support you and won't give up most especially during downhill times of your life. I was the one who stood still for our family during the darkest hours of our lives. I didn't give up when almost everyone did. I lifted everyone's spirit when hope seems so hard to find. But I also get to the point when I felt tired and almost lose hope but I didn't because if I did, we might just be watching our downfall in the end. I learned that in life, we are our own author and director. It is always our choice. We choose our own happiness.

  33. 2013 taught me a lot of lesson in life! First is I learned to be a Positive person! Being an optimistic girl you can easily make your dreams into Reality. Next is, I used to be the person who expect to much! So this year I learned that Expecting too much kills you to death! Yes! Its true. But I Learned not to expect more, I learn to wait and believe in Destiny that will bring me to unexpected priceless moments that happen in our life. I also learned to be an independent person, as a 18 years old teenager, I need to be mature and distinguished the part of me that I only depend on the decision of my parent, 2013 taught me how to decide for myself. 2013 also taught me about Friendship, Love, School Life and Blogging life. That when a great opportunity comes into your life grab it! It could be a stepping stone towards your dreams. So this year, I'm hoping for more opportunity, More busy schedule and more lessons and experiences that will happen in our future life and can make us into better person than before! <3
I'm wishing you a happy new year! :)

  34. As a very independent person, 2013 gave me the one trait I never thought i'd have-- dependence on other people. This school year I was deemed President of our course's school organization. It's something I've been dreaming about since year 1 and to achieve it on my 3rd year in college, I was pretty contented at life then and there. But the responsibilities that came after were enough to break me. I could barely handle my social life and my responsibilities. What's worst, my enthusiasm for work wasn't present in my co-officers and it was... hard to convince them to work sometimes. But leading meant I should encourage them to work alongside me. Simply going with my usual 'I can do things on my own just fine' attitude meant stress and sleepless weeks. I'm a very unhealthy person so it never worked in the long run.
It was during these long months that i've learned how to fully depend on people, even by just a bit. They may not meet my expectations some times but they can still do things i can't manage on my own. To push it just a little bit more, my background in extra-curricular work and expertise in my course opened doors like being a student partner for Microsoft itself. I was proud-- even more so when I actually met people who had the same enthusiasm in work as I did. It was a blessing disguised in hard work and patience. And even now, I'm still slowly realizing how important it is to get to know people and make the most of being with them. In the long run, having skills and talent is better accompanied with having great friends, colleagues and resources.

  35. The most important thing that 2013 has taught me is to never be afraid to try new things, to earn to shine in my own way, and to be more confident. I was always the kind of person who was bullied in school, I was not even the person who leads others. I am not even the center of the limelight so growing up it was kind of difficult for me to choose to shine and try new things. During one event I became confident of myself and I learned to fight back whenever it is needed. Now people respected me more and I was able to know that I also have a gift and a purpose. I am a changed woman who has both beauty and purpose and that is to be an inspiration for others and be a confident individual. Happy new year :)
